I think CrossFit might be too hard for me, what can I expect?
CrossFit is for everyone! You don't need to be in shape to start CrossFit - that will come with time. Our coaches will work with you and help you move at a pace you're comfortable with and will modify movements to accommodate your current fitness level. We will never put you in harms way or risk your safety for the sake of a work out! It will be hard, and you'll be sore, but if you put in the work - you'll be in the best shape of your life in no time!
What if I can’t do the movements due to injury or physical limitations?
Everything in CrossFit is scalable - as we mentioned earlier, our coaches will modify the workouts to fit your current fitness level and will always put your health and safety first!

I'm ready to sign up, what's next?
Once you sign up for our unlimited monthly memberships, (see Pricing) you'll be registered for our "Roots" program. Roots is a 2-week program consisting of 6 classes focused on teaching our new athletes the fundamentals of CrossFit, which includes proper form and technique. New athletes will also get a briefing on how we do things at CFTH, including our class structure, house rules, etc.
Is there a contract commitment?
No!! All unlimited monthly memberships are month-to-month and you are also able to cancel your membership at any time.
Does Roots cost extra?
No. There is no additional charge for Roots - it's included as part of your first month's membership.
Who has to take Roots?
ALL new athletes must participate in the Roots program - regardless of your current fitness level. However, if you have prior CrossFit experience, you are eligible to test out of the Roots program.
What if I can’t attend the Roots classes due to schedule conflict?
We understand it can be a pain to rearrange your schedule but we do urge you to attend all classes as scheduled. However, if you absolutely cannot make a Roots class, there is an option for 1-on-1 training session for an additional cost.
What is a WOD?
"WOD" is what we call our daily workout or Workout of the Day. Daily workouts typically include a strength or skill/technique element and a metabolic conditioning element known as a "METCON"
How often can I come to WODs?
Our CrossFit memberships include unlimited classes - we are open 7-days a week, with weekly classes starting at 5am (check out our schedule to see our current WOD times, as well as Open Gym times). We do urge our athletes to take scheduled rest days as well - working out this hard 7-days a week can be taxing on your body and is not recommended so please listen to your body!
What exercises can I expect to see in the programming?
We custom design our programming based on our athletes and every workout is completely different day-to-day. Running, box jumps, olympic lifting (snatch, clean and jerk, deadlift), pushups, pull ups, kettle bell movements, rowing, air bike and jump rope are just a few of the elements included in our workouts.
Do you offer other services?
CrossFit is our first love but we are in the process of developing some additional programs for our athletes, including: a competition team, Barbell Club and Running Club (athlete run), as well as nutritional guidance.
